Forgive...

Forgive

In a spirit of love and understanding, I forgive.

We may have many opportunities to practice forgiveness throughout our lives.

Just when we think we have learned all we need to know about being forgiving, another opportunity to forgive appears.

Forgiveness is not always easy, yet from the love and understanding of God in our hearts, we can and do forgive. We forgive because we love. We forgive because we understand that all people—no matter what their ages may be—must have the freedom to find their own way and make their own decisions in life.

Forgiveness leads us to accept each person as the beloved child of God that he or she is. We understand that each one is a unique individual who is on a sacred and personal journey—just as we are on our own sacred and personal journeys.
"Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive."—2 Corinthians 2:10
