The Tale of New Immigrants by James C. Richmond

The Tale of New Immigrants

My time will be known as gross

When immigration laws suppressed the growth of a Nation

An American system to dispose

Like when the lamb spake like a dragon

And the walls of Jericho crumbled with force

There immigrants Richter scales, estimates the coming eruption

And minds that doze often froze

Lady luck, the Statute of Liberty is lost and wants to be found

The fate of an immigrant

No one knows.

Poem by: James C. Richmond
