BACK TO TIMES SQUARE

Time zones are falling

Time zones are falling

The millennium is beckoning

The millennium is beckoning

From far and near on the oceans waves glistening

Back to Times Square

It’s the unthinkable dream

Amidst the prophetic

Where fainting hearts fault the dream

And mankind thinks on that day supreme

Back to Times Square

Then to remember, man knoweth not the time nor the hour

That pierces the heart that sins

With fear of the coming

Back to Times Square

Piercing the heart with joy

To see the multi-hued mushroom in God’s sky

My joy! Your joy! Our joy!

To greet the millennium, I rise

Back to Times Square

Where we meet, time distant, time past, time present

By language and accent

Colour, race and culture different

Back to Times Square

Where the spontaneity of the moment bedeck the sky

With tears joy in every eye

Across the Continents it doth fly

Back to Times Square

Breaking time and zones in Times Square

Back to Times Square
