The Happy Toiler

Happy the man who awakes with a song
And a cheery word for his wife,
Yes, happier far than many a king
Though he lives but in a toiler's life.

He's the man who can smile w hen his luck is out
And sing when the world goes wrong,
And he brightens life with his cheery smile
And the sound of his toiler's song.

He's the man that will give you a slap on the back
When you're feeling down and out,
The man that will never be found on the slack
When he out to be up and about.

With his merry smile and his cheery song
And his happy-go-lucky way.
He brightens life as he goes along
With his toiling from day to day
